Hiraeth Hope & Healing, Inc. respects the autonomy of its adult participants, but must simultaneously create healing space respecting best practices. The use of substance during therapy time is not only a hindrance to healing, but a liability for our clinicians. Licensed clinicians are obligated under law to dismiss clients from therapy when they appear under the influence. While our licensed clinicians may be facilitating outside of their state of licensure, they still have a moral and ethical obligation to follow professional methodology. It is under this parameter that we can only allow legalized substance consumption when all sessions are complete. Facilitators have the right to remove attendees from a session if they are under the influence.

Due to the nature of healing that is facilitated, no children may attend any portions of the retreats.
