For those navigating family separation, origin loss, or questions about identity…

There is space to be with that here.

Some arrive with questions.

Some with clarity.

Some with something they cannot yet name.

All of it belongs here.

This video was created by an attendee and offers a glimpse into shared moments within these spaces.

People of all genders attend these gatherings, each bringing their own experiences, perspectives, and stories.

Watch if it feels right.

What you’ve just seen is one expression of how these spaces can feel.

Why These Spaces Matter

Many individuals navigating family separation, origin loss, donor conception, late discovery, or hidden truths spend years searching for spaces where their experiences are understood without explanation or minimization.

Some arrive after unexpected DNA discoveries that completely altered their understanding of identity, ancestry, family history, and belonging. Others have carried grief, questions, or disconnection quietly for decades.

Many people report difficulty finding informed support spaces or professionals familiar with the long-term emotional impact of separation, identity disruption, and hidden family truths.

At the same time, consumer DNA testing has led to a growing number of individuals uncovering unexpected biological realities later in life, often without preparation or support.

Hiraeth Hope & Healing exists in response to these realities. Today, adults of all genders from across the United States and beyond participate in our community through retreats, Wellness Weekends, peer support, workshops, and educational resources.

Our gatherings and peer support spaces are designed to offer connection, understanding, and community-centered support for individuals navigating experiences that are often misunderstood, minimized, or carried in isolation.

Togetherness in Action

Since 2019, Hiraeth Hope & Healing has continued to grow because of the people who believe that no one should have to navigate these experiences alone.

Our community has made possible:

• 500+ individuals supported

• 20+ retreats and gatherings hosted

• Free peer support offered throughout the year

• $8,000+ in scholarships awarded

• Trauma-aware educational resources available at no cost

Every gathering, conversation, article, and scholarship exists because a community chose to create space for one another.

Hiraeth Hope & Healing is a peer-led community for adults of all genders navigating family separation, origin loss, donor conception, unexpected DNA discoveries (NPEs), late-discovery adoption, and other identity-disrupting life experiences.

Since 2019, this space has been intentionally held with a focus on lived experience, consent, and choice.

Gatherings and support spaces are designed to allow connection, identity exploration, and the coexistence of multiple lived realities.

Listening is participation.
Individuals are welcome to move at their own pace.

This is not a clinical service or treatment program.

It is a community space where respect, boundaries, and accountability guide how space is held.

You’re welcome to take what feels relevant, and leave what does not.

Whether you come to listen, learn, ask questions, share your story, or simply be around others who understand, there is a place for you here.
