Our Mission
Hiraeth Hope & Healing exists to create intentionally held spaces for people impacted by family separation, origin loss, and hidden truths. Through community-based gatherings and support, we offer opportunities for connection, reflection, and shared understanding.
Our work centers lived experience and respects individual pace, choice, and consent. Participation is always optional, and people are welcome to engage in ways that feel right for them.
We do not provide clinical or therapeutic services. What we offer is a community space grounded in presence, listening, and accountability.
Our Story
Hiraeth Hope & Healing began in 2019 in response to the need for spaces where people impacted by family separation, origin loss, and hidden truths could gather without expectation or pressure.
What started as small, informal gatherings grew over time as more people sought connection with others who understood the long-term effects of separation and discovery. As the community expanded, so did the ways people gathered, both in person and virtually.
While our offerings have evolved, our approach has remained consistent. We hold space with care and clarity, with respect for individual experience. We do not ask participants to explain themselves, reach conclusions, or move through their experiences in any particular way.
Our work continues to be shaped by the people who gather with us and by a shared commitment to presence, consent, and community-based support.
