Workshops & Offerings
Hiraeth Hope & Healing offers occasional trauma-aware online workshops and guided offerings that support reflection, learning, and shared understanding. These spaces create opportunities to explore topics related to identity, family discovery, and lived experience in a thoughtfully held virtual setting.
Workshops and offerings vary in format and focus. Some are creative or reflective, while others are educational or discussion-based. Participation is always optional, and individuals are welcome to engage according to personal choice and pace.
Community Conversations
Community Conversations are free, therapist-led monthly educational discussions hosted by Hiraeth Hope & Healing and held on the last Wednesday of each month.
Each conversation explores a topic relevant to adults navigating adoption, donor conception, unexpected DNA discoveries, family separation, identity disruption, and origin loss. Discussions are designed to provide compassionate education, practical tools, and opportunities to ask questions in a supportive learning environment.
Topics throughout the year may include:
Finding trauma-aware support
Identity and origin loss
Ambiguous loss and grief
Attachment and relationships
Emotional regulation and self-compassion
Search and reunion
Family secrets and shame
Boundaries and communication
Holidays, belonging, and navigating family relationships
What to Expect
Workshops and offerings are intentionally designed to hold space without pressure or expectation. These experiences are not therapy and are not intended to replace professional or clinical care.
Most offerings are held online. Any in-person offerings are clearly identified in advance.
