Question 2
What surprised you most after learning an unexpected DNA discovery?
I thought learning the truth would answer all of my questions. Instead, it gave me entirely new ones I never imagined asking.
I expected anger. What surprised me most was grief for the years I lost without knowing the truth.
The biggest surprise wasn't discovering who my biological father was. It was realizing how much of myself finally made sense.
I wasn't prepared for how differently everyone else reacted. Some people wanted to pretend nothing had changed, while my entire understanding of my life had shifted overnight.
DNA changed more than my family tree. It changed how I understood identity, trust, and belonging.
